Appointment & Cancellation Policy

Our goal is to provide quality dental care in a timely manner. In order to do so, we ask that patients adhere to our cancellation and no show policy. The policy enables us to better utilize available appointments for our patients in need of dental care. We kindly ask that you notify us with 48 hours’ notice if you know you are unable to keep the appointment. We understand that emergencies happen that may keep you from making this appointment. But if we do not hear anything from you within a timely manner (24 hours of appointment) then we reserve the right to not offer any future appointments. We are sorry that this is having to be enforced, but we are getting a large amount of “no call-no shows” which is not fair to patients needing to get in to see the dentist as well as the dental staff.


CANCELLATION OF AN APPOINTMENT

In order to be respectful of other patients’ needs, please be courteous and call or text our office promptly if you are unable to attend an appointment. This time will be given to someone who is in urgent need of treatment. We ask that you contact our office two business days (48 hours) in advance to cancel or reschedule your appointment. If our office is not open, please leave a voicemail or text us at our patient communication line (833) 260-1494. If a change to an appointment is made within 24 hours, it is recorded and after 3 less than 24-hour changes, we no longer allow for scheduled appointments but you can call for day-of openings.


NO SHOW POLICY

A ‘no show’ is an appointment that was not canceled or changed prior to appointment time. No shows inconvenience other patients who need dental care as well as the practice. A ‘no show’ for a scheduled appointment will result in a fee of $50. After 2 ‘no show’ appointments you will be dismissed from the practice. 


FIRST APPOINTMENT NO SHOW POLICY

Due to limited availability for new patient appointments, a ‘no show’ or less than 24 hour notice cancelation of a new patient appointment, may result in immediate dismissal.


FAMILY APPOINTMENTS (Two or more appointments on same day for same family)

We try our best to accommodate families by offering multiple appointments for family members on the same day. However, when cancellations or no shows happen, this can wipe out a whole morning or afternoon of our schedule. If a last-minute cancellation occurs, families may be required to split up appointments on different days.


Once again, we are trying our best to help our community and just ask that you give us the courtesy to notify us if you are unable to keep your scheduled appointment. WFD reserves the right to modify these policies as we see fit according to the situations that may arise.
